Lăpuşna County Tribunal
Public access, no restrictions on access According to the Decree of the Romanian Government no. 2770 of October 9, 1918, county courts/tribunals were established in Bessarabia. They dealt with the examination of criminal and civil cases, except for crimes committed by minors. The tribunals may also have examined the cases as an appeal inspection, re-examining the petitions of innocence. The cases were placed in county tribunals only if the offender lived or committed the offense within the county. The county tribunals were formed in two sections: criminal and civil. Based on the amendments of December 25, 1926, cases unresolved in the tribunals could be handed over to the Court of Appeal in Chisinau. Judges of the county tribunals were appointed by royal decree, at the proposal of the Ministry of Justice. In the same way, there were appointed prosecutors and secretaries of the tribunals. They county tribunals disbanded in 1944 Reports of the Chişinău Prefecture about the incidents; correspondence with the Chişinău police questura on issuing a permit for the right to carry personal weapons; correspondence with the Chişinău police questura on individuals suspected of anti-Romanian activities; correspondence with Romanian prisons on individuals arrested for communist activities; the case of Etya Kichel and Zelman Griber that are suspected in communist activities; correspondence with the central prison on the prisoner Chaim Rabinovich; a case against the residents of the town of Călăraş Zelman Glos and Voza Luft suspected in anti-Romanian activities; register of denunciations; statements of citizens regarding the change of names; instructions on the national and moral education of citizens, et al.
