Еврейский антифашистский комитет

Jewish Anti-Fascist Committee was organized on August 24, 1941. The goal of JAC was the unifying the jews all over the world in order to fight against fascism, helping the Soviet Union and the Red Army. Presidium of JAC was elected in April 1944. Among the 70 members were famous scholars, artists, military commanders, party workers. The Committee fundraised abroad to fight against Germany, for example in the USA 20 million dollars. 23000 articles about Nazi crimes against Jews, about jews-soldiers of the Red Army, partizan movement. JAC prepared the "Black Book" about the genocide of Jewish people during the Second World war, Комитет подготовил к изданию сборник литературных очерков "Черная книга" о геноциде еврейского населения в годы Второй мировой войны, during 1942-1948 published the Yiddish weekly newspaper Eynigkayt. The activity of JAC was controlled by Soviet Informational Bureau, then by the foreign affairs department of VKP(b). In November 1948 JAC was closed, his members were arrested. In May-June 1952 there war the closed trial, 13 out 15 accused people were executed, one died during the process.
