Soviet Army partisan units, Ukraine

Saburov Alexandr Nikolaevich organized a partisan group in 1941 that was very active in Belorussia. The group was growing so rapidly that by 1942 it was a strong formation that was able to cross the right bank of Ukraine and pass over 700 km into Germany's rear lines. In November 1942 Saburov was appointed the Chief Commander of the partisan movement in the Zhitomirskiy district of Ukraine. Soviet Army partisan unit gathering in a village. Crossing the Ubort' river. Among the partisans is the formation commander A.Saburov."
