257th German Infantry in Krakow region

Soldiers and officers of the 257th Infantry and some civilians outside the Wawel Cathedral, recognizable by its ornate facade and gold dome. Panoramic view of Krakow from Wawel, church spires accentuate the skyline, and smoke rises from a rooftop in the distance. Overview of the newly conquered Polish landscape from West Krakow, Nazi flag flies in the FG, Vistula river and Carpathian mountains visible in the distance. Cut to a church and small graveyard in Krzeszowice. In the distance, people walk along the path into the church. 10:01:54 German officer, Major V. Levetzow, crosses a small stream in the countryside in Poland. 10:02:10 German officers smoke beside a train destined for Pfalz, a Southwestern region of Germany. The men joke and wave for the camera before boarding the train.
