Contains reports and drafts of presentations and research papers related to the activities of various Jewish cultural and political organizations in Russia and the Soviet Union. It also includes documents, meeting minutes, and bylaws, as well as newspapers, concert programs, catalogs of exhibits, and flyers. Lazar (Eliazar) Motylev was a lifelong supporter of Jewish cultural autonomy in Russia, and was an active member of various Jewish organizations such as Kultur Liga, Committee for the relief of Jewish war victims, Jewish People’s University, Society of Jewish Music, Society of Jewish Artists and other such groups.
