Esther Lask photograph collection
The photographs relate to the experiences of Esther Lask in several displaced persons camps in Germany after World War II. The photographs mainly consist of studio portraits of individuals and informal group images of refugees at various camps. Many of the photographs have handwritten messages on the back. Esther Lask (née Esther Epstein) was liberated in Łódź, Poland in September 1945. She subsequently lived in several displaced person camps including Feldafing, Dieburg, Landsberg, and Rochelle.
