Edda Treforest photograph collection
Edda Treforest (b. Edda Wind) was a Holocaust survivor and was employed as a translator for Ms. E.I. England, head of the British Red Cross contingent at Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. Her husband, Samuel Treforest was a United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation (UNRRA) official who took photographs of Bergen-Belsen concentraiton camp. The Edda Treforest photograph collection consists of photographs depicting nurses treating patients at Bergen-Belsen concentration camp after liberation, the canteen that Samuel Treforest opened at Bergen-Belsen after World War II, and Edda Treforest as a young woman. The photographs were likely taken by Samuel Treforest.
