Nechama Vaisman diary
Nechama Ioanovna Vaisman (Anna Ivanovna Weisman, 1924-2009) was born on January 28, 1924 in Mogilev-Podolsky (Mohyliv-Podilskyi, Ukraine). She graduated from high school on the eve of the Romanian and German occupation of the city in July 1941. She and her parents tried to evacuated, but they were forced to return to live in the Jewish ghetto until liberation in March 1944. After the war she resumed her studies, married Zyunya Perelman, and had a son named Yuli Perelman. The Nechama Vaisman diary consists of a photocopy of the handwritten diary of Nechama Vaisman, originally of Mogiliev-Podolski, Ukraine, written between January 1942 and July 1943 while Vaisman was confined to a ghetto.
