Soap issued to a concentration camp prisoner in Auschwitz-Birkenau
No restrictions on access Soap issued to Esther Moses, October-November 1944, Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp. Esther Zelmanovits Moses was interred in Auschwitz-Birkenau. She was given this bar of soap when she was sent to work in Hamburg on November 26, 1944. She carried it with her for the remainder of the war. Her husband, Herbert Moses hid the bar of soap in his father-in-law's, Sam Zelman, store in Kansas.
