The frog who dared to croak

Tibor Grau is the homosexual Marxist son of a wealthy bourgeois family. Grau is a propaganda official in the Hungarian revolutionary regime of 1919, and has the authority to rewrite the nation's folklore: "A society which does not possess its people's dreams is not a society in control of itself." He likes going into Budapest's parks at night in search of love or sex with boys and men. After a while Grau finds himself distressed by the fact that he always pays for love. What he does not understand is that his payments are feeding his lovers' families and that they can't afford to give love - their only salable commodity - away.
