Memoir by an unknown Holocaust survivor from Tarnów, Poland, describes: the establishment of the Tarnów Ghetto; Aktionen/executions of Tarnów's Jews; death of the unknown survivor's family; and his deportation to Płaszów.

Consists of one manuscript, 95 pages, entitled "Memories," by Simon Juan Lichtig, originally born Szymon (Szymek) Lichtig, of Tarnów, Poland. He describes his childhood in Tarnów, his escape to Lwów using false papers, hiding as a Polish Catholic in Kiev, Soviet Union, and in Saarbrúcken, Germany, and his experiences as a translator for the United States Army.

The Fred Feld papers consists of a passport ("Reisepass") stamped with a " J" issued to Mathias Scheer [Fred Feld's uncle] in Austria on December 1, 1938, and two postcards written by Baruch Wiener in Tarnów, Poland, to his brother-in-law, Mathias Scheer in Brooklyn , N.Y. in September 1941.

The collection consists of 13 photographs adhered to two photograph album pages and one loose photograph. The images depict groups of German soldiers informally posing, scenic views, and views of Tarnów, Poland, and its Jewish inhabitants bearing identifiable markings such as Star of David armbands. All pages are labeled in German.
