Boys in the dormitory at the Ilaniah Children's Village.
1948
Boys in the dormitory at the Ilaniah Children's Village. The Ilaniah Children's Village was an orphanage for central and eastern European orphans, whose parents were killed by Germans. It was run by JDC with funds from UJA. Children were gathered from German DP camps, hungry and diseased from lack of food and poor living conditions. At Apeldoorn, the children recovered and were prepared for immigration to Israel.
