Picked Chinese combat troops guard convoy to China. Picked combat troops of the new First Chinese Army guarded the first truck convoy over the Stilwell Road to China. Here the guards march out for inspection during a jungle bivouac along the route. U.S. Army Air Force fighter planes patrolled the skies above the caravan which reached Kunming, China. NI 9255
