The pipeline station fuels a double line of trucks to save time. The convoy rolled into Wanting on the Chicna border on the Burma Road January 28, 1945, just a few days after the last Japanese forces had been driven from the area. The new Ledo-Burma Road will be open only to military supply trucks carrying war mataerials for the Chcinese and U.S. Army forces in China, which have been cut off for almost three years from outside aid except by air transport.
