U.S. sailors in the making. The U.S.
U.S. sailors in the making. The U.S. Naval Training Station at San Diego, Cal., is one of the Navy's most important personnel reservoirs. In a thorough 12-week training course recruits are prepared for service in the Navy. The beautifully situated training station is the only one on the Pacific Coast and may become of crucial importance in a national emergency. A recruit learns how to salute in the regulation manner. Compagny Commander T.B. Taylor shows to apprentice seaman James R. Clint the exact angle at which he has to hold his hand.
