Allied refugee center in France.
Allied refugee center in France. Refugees freed from Nazi labor battalions by the Allies line up for mess at a newly established center in Briey, France, set up by American, French and English authorities. Lillian Case of New York City, an American Red Cross worker, supervises the serving of food from a field kittchen captured from the Germans. The camp, which houses more than 950 refugees of various nationalities who were formerly in Nazi labor camps and aircraft factories, will eventually be turned over to the complete control of the French.
