Special tank destroying corps trained by U.S. Army. The U.S. Army has created a special Tank Destroyer Corps trained to seek and annihilate enemy armored forces. Every method od tank destroying is used from the massed fighting of mobile units mounting 75 mm. guns to the ambushing of a tank by an individual soldier. The men of the Tank Destroyer Corps are guerilla fighters --- rough, alert and possessed of unlimited courage. For close-up fighting, they throw sticky explosives and incendiary grenades against the tanks to put them out of commision. These pictures were taken while a unit was training at a camp in the Southwestern State of Texas. Whit its 75 mm. gun protuding this mobile tank destroyer waits in ambush for the enemy tanks. Sgt. Lewis Wood, partly concealed in tree to left of gun barrel, acts as a spotter.
