Another U.S. submarine launched. Another submarine slides down the ...... .... ...... U.S. port, the second in as many weeks to be launched by the boat company located at the port. The submarine soon will join the growing U.S. undersea fleet in the Pacific where these ships are training Japanese supply lines seriously. American submarines have sunk 573 Japanese ships since the war began, the Navy reported on May 25, 1944 and have maintained an average of better than one ship sunk a day since Jan. 1, 1944.
