America helps supply the United Nations. Mercy ships sails to Greece. The Sicily, one of the eight ships reguarly carrying food to Greece steams out of an American harbor. She and her sister ships, which have made a total of 26 round trips between American and Greece since August 7, 1942, have carried 5,882,890 bushels of wheat, 98,400 pounds of flour, 23,004 tens of dried and dehydrated vegetbles, 2,071 tons of evaporatedmilk, 814 tons of concentrated soup, 125 tons of condensed milk, 88 tons of powdered milk and 65 tons of cod liver oil. They have also brought tp Greece more than $100,000 worth of medical supplies, provided mostly by the american Red Cross.
