Allied mercy ships sail to Greece. The Sicily, one of the eight shops regularly carrying food from the Allies to Greece, prepares to leave a North American port. She and her sister Ships, which have made a total of 26 round trips between North America and Greece since Aug. 7, 1942, have carried 5,822,890 bushels of wheat, 98,400 pounds of flour, 23,004 tons of dried and dehydrated vegetables, 2,071 tons of evaporated milk, 814 tons of concentrated soup, 125 tons of condensed milk, 88 tons of codliver oil. They have also brought to Greece more than $100,000 worth of midicines and medical supplies, provided mostly by the American Red Cross.
