Nazi banker and diplomate who will be tried as war criminals. Franz von Papen, German Ambassador to Austria at the time of the Anschluss and later Minister to Turkey, will be tried with 22 other high German leaders as major war criminals. They were indicted by the international committee of chief prosecuters. The prosecuters will try them in the former Nazi stronghold at Nurenberg during the month of October, 1945.
