Last minute checking of fuel and water on the engine of the frist train to be run under Dutch control since the liberation of the Indies from the Japanese. The carriages and engine were left at Tangerang, Java, by the retreating Indonesian forces, Tangerang was occupied by men of the Royal Netherlands Indies Army. Many parst of the enige were missing while it was recovered, but work was carried out day and night it was repaired. The train was then handed over to the Dutch railway officials from Batavia, and driven to on June 9, 1946. NI 724
