Memoirs of a Jew (née Leah Weinfeld), born in 1924 in Kraków. In 1941 her family was transferred to the ghetto. Her brother was arrested by the Gestapo and never returned; the rest of the family was deported to the Płaszów labor camp, Auschwitz, and Bergen-Belsen. Her mother died in Bergen-Belsen and her father in Mauthausen, where he was sent later. Shinar and her sister were liberated in Bergen-Belsen; in 1948 they emigrated to Israel. 1.
