Okresní soud Jihlava
partly accessible The fonds contains files of the Jihlava District Court. The judicial agenda is divided into civil and criminal. The civil agenda includes disputes, estates and wills, and the criminal agenda mainly misdemeanors. Registry books and name indexes enable orientation in the files. Jewish issues can be found in all groups of documents, especially the estate files (mark D) from 1946–1949, which often concern persons who did not survive the German occupation and for whom inheritance proceedings took place only after the end of the war. Registers of estates and lists of names can be used for orientation in the files. Restitution files from 1949–1950 are also important, and from the department of OS Jihlava V (Land Book Agenda) also the Book of seats in the Jewish synagogue in Puklice from 1855. The District Court in Jihlava was established in 1850 for the judicial districts of Jihlava, Třebíč and Velké Meziříčí. After the reform in 1855, the jurisdiction of the court was limited to the judicial district of Jihlava. However, a mixed political office was not established in Jihlava as elsewhere, but the judicial administration of the first instance remained independent as the so-called municipal delegated district court, whose staff belonged to the Jihlava Regional Court. It operated under this name until 1897. In 1911, 11 municipalities from the Jihlava judicial district were connected to the newly created judicial district in Třešť. The judicial districts were abolished in 1949.
