The Court of First Instance in Xanthi was founded in 1920, after the liberation of the city. The material of the Court Archives is available to researchers and the public according to the provisions of the Data Protection Act (the Greek Law 2472/1997). A handwritten catalogue in Greek is available on -site. The files are relevant to the Bulgarian occupation, war crimes, Greek collaborators, war trials and Bulgarian reparations. Copies are available and are issued by employees of the General State Archives. Ratified copies of archival material are available upon application.
