U.S. Troops use captured gun to blast enemy. Soldiers of the 35th Division, Ninth U.S. Army, use a captured German 75mm. anti-tank gun to attack enemy troops entrenched in a building along the Rhine-Herne Canal near Recklinghausen, Germany. The town, in the Ruhr area 23 miles northeast of Duisburg on the Rhine River, was captured April 3, 1945.
