Germans loot freight cars in Hanau. Civilians of Hanau, Germany, loot German freight cars filled with clothing as troops of the Fourth Armored Division, Third U.S. Army, move into the town. The trains had been left unattended after the American unit out the line at another point. Hanau, nine miles east of Frankfurt, was cleared of enemy troops March 29, 1945.
