USHMM holds copies of selected writings from this collection, relating the Jewish question (three boxes).

Contains general correspondence from the Foreign Office and Diplomatic Service Administration Office, Chief Clerk’s Department relating to the employment of local Jews in British Middle East missions, 1945. These records consist of accounts and internal affairs of the Foreign Office, the Messengers, and the Diplomatic and Consular Services.

After having consolidated the documents relating to the organisation and operation of the department in general, the classification of the fonds restores the two areas of intervention of the department as defined by the Note of 4 March 1942: the status of Jews and secret societies. Original documents are freely available for consultation.
