Blasted Nazi retreat column. Smashed Nazi vehicles, including horse-drawn equipment, are strown at the sides of the road used by Third U.S. Army armor advancing near Bad Durkheim, German town cleared March 21, 1945. The equipment of the Germans, who were attempting to outrace American armor to the Rhine, was shattered by the mobile weapons of the 10th Armored Division, Third U.S. Army.
