German school reopend under Allied supervision. This is a scene at the opening of the first public school in Germany by the U.S. Military Government in June, 1945, at Aachen, Germany. German students of the first four grades, to which the opening was limited, are shown with their parents during the registering process. More than 200 pupils were admitted. Twenty-two German teachers were chosen as instructors by the Amsricans and textbooks were approved and printed by the Military Government.
